I met not only his mom, but also his dad, his bro’, bro’s wife, bro’s bibik, and his youngest sis. Almost a complete set of his family, cuma kakak nyer yg sorang lagi je xde kat Malaysia. Kalo ada, sure lah lebih meriah rumah.
I went there with just a pack of strawberries and came back with a set of kain baju kebaya + kek buah + donuts. Ni sistem barter yg amat berbaloi nih =P, thanks to his mom.
She’s the first woman in his life. She dried his tears, calmed his fears, and supported his dreams. He can tell her things he can’t tell me. He asks for her input. In many instances, she serves as his judge and jury. She is his mom.
We’ve reached one of critical stages in relationship development: the meeting of the parental units. My parents have met him several times. I haven’t met his parents yet.
Yesterday, his mom asked him to bring me home for lunch. OMG.

For the last 2 months, Ken and I have been competing with each other on an iPod touch game. What game got us hooked? It is called Toobz.
It’s kind of a simple game, but it seems like the thought process behind it is not simple. Toobz is a challenging, fast-paced game that brings together quick reactions, planning, and a little bit of luck. The goal is to create a system of “Toobz” (pipes) beginning at a randomly-placed starting point. Your Toobz network must allow water to flow without any spilling. If you spill any water, your game is over and you’ll have to try again.
It reminds me of Tetris - Oh this game is one of the most addictive games ever! I never installed games on any of my computers sbb game bodo2 pon leh wat aku addicted, inikan pula game yg lebih mantap. Satu keje pon xbuat nanti dok ngadap maen game 24/7.
Well that’s it, my 2-week-holiday has come to an end.

One of the things I love about Kuantan is the local food stalls/eateries along the beach. Kuantan itself offers some fine beaches. Must try - goreng pisang (banana fritters), keropok lekor (fish sausage) eaten with a sweet hot chili dip, rojak ayam, ABC, laici kang, fried squids. All things yummy.

One morning, I dreamt about seeing my late grandfather waking my dad up to perform Subuh prayer. Tersedar sekejap - pikir “Eh atuk kan dah meninggal”, I ended up sleeping back, until mom woke me up, then went to sleep again. Wengg betul.
Hello, my name is Diyana, twenty something and I live on my own and surviving.
Now is one of the most liberating moments in my life and also one of the scariest. Television shows give us a fantasy look at the life of the single girl out on her own. As much as I would like to say that it is all fabulous, funky apartments and insanely cute trendy outfits, that is just not the truth. It isn’t always “Sex and the City” or even “Friends”.
Anyway, living alone + single has many advantages. I don’t plan on being single forever, but I believe starting out this way can actually make me a stronger individual for later on in life. The freedom that comes from it helps me to grow up and be independent.
One of many changes for 2009 is bigger room. I have a Big Girl Bed! I’m a big girl! *squeal. Yes, I spoil myself too much, always wanting “bigger” and “better” things. But I use my hard earned money, so xpelaa kot. The key is to rely on myself as much as possible. My parents should be proud =P.
Rolling with the changes, now I can stretch out and embrace all the empty space on bed. And one Big Girl Bed to-do is –> big-girl-with-big-boy things!! *winkwink hahaha
